FM250 flutter analysis

In early April 2011, the Aviation Research and Test Institute in Prague completed a flutter test of FM250 Vampire. The aircraft passed the test as expected and without any problems. Tests conducted under the leadership of ing. Hlavaty and calculations performed on the data obtained by ing. Cecrdle. We bring you some pictures of the test.

During December, we started to test newly developed winglets for Vampire. The winglets was designed and produced by our Danish dealer /Morten/, who has years of experience in repairing fiberglass gliders. Firsts results from testing are quite ineresting stall speed is closer to 60 km / h and lateral stability were increased.

We are proud to announce that after intensive and almost one year long lasting engineering and designing work, the Flying Machines unveils the new and improved Vampire II. The Vampire II roll out took place on May 20, 2010. The aircraft has completely new streamlined tail section, modified interior and the airframe utilizes more carbon fiber for even higher rigidity. Carbon and Kevlar are now used also in the cockpit, which offers pilots greater protection when needed.

When we recently delivered our new trike FM301 Stream to France we visited our representative Mr. Christian Balansino, who is a head of Flying Machines France based at the Vichy airport. Flying Machines France provides customers in France with support and maintenance for our all models, import the aircraft and also carry out flight training both on trikes and on three axis ULM's. Aerotows with FM 250 Vampire

On March 16, 2009 at the Jaromer airfield we started testing aerotows with L-13 Blanik behind our FM 250 Vampire. Despite the fairly windy weather the tests progressed throughout the day just fine and we succesfully made 18 aerotows both in solo and also with two persons on board of the glider. Towing System for the FM 250 Vampire
